David Walker

David Walker is President of ABS Consulting and Chief Operating Officer of ABS Group of Companies, Inc. He was previously Senior Vice President, Public Sector of ABS Consulting. David's background includes more than 20 years in risk management, process safety, loss prevention, incident investigation/root cause analysis, system reliability and asset integrity management. His experience includes applications for several branches of the federal government (including DHS, DOD, DOT, DOE, and NASA), transportation (especially maritime), chemical and hydrocarbon processing, energy, pharmaceuticals, forest products, consumer products, semiconductors/electronics, and other major manufacturing operations.
David has master's and bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee. He is an instructor for the Process Safety Institute and the System Reliability Institute (affiliates of ABS Group Inc.) as well as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the University of Tennessee's Maintenance and Reliability Center, and the University of Dayton's Center for Competitive Change.
