ABS Consulting Launches THESIS 6.0 Risk Management Software
ABS Consulting is pleased to announce the release of Thesis BowTie™ (THESIS) version 6.0 risk management software. The updated version offers a new graphic and print engine and new data handling functions including spreadsheet interfaces and enhanced reporting capabilities, along with many other new and improved features. The software is available in both standalone and web-based Enterprise versions.
THESIS was conceived 15 years ago as a simple yet powerful risk management system tool with a graphical display of the relationships between the various components that result from the Hazard and Effects Management Process (HEMP).
The bowtie process is fundamental to the effective control of hazards and risks identified in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) cases. Using THESIS, an organization can logically map out its approach to HSE Management by developing credible incident scenarios and relating them to their personnel and procedures.
THESIS may be used for:
- Hazard identification and risk assessment
- Detailed HAZID, GAP, MOC or LOPA analysis
- Derivation of tasks and procedures
- Incident investigation
- Enterprise risk management
- As the Safety/Live Risk module within ABS Consulting IMSIS™ software
About THESIS
THESIS is developed and managed by ABS Consulting. Although early adopters were primarily involved in oil and gas production, the method has expanded to other industries, including mining, aviation, emergency response, security, shipping, port facilities, defense, freight, finance and local government.
The bowtie concept behind THESIS has become an accepted standard for risk management professionals. With advances in software architecture, THESIS technology now offers best practices in support of their goals.
