ABS Consulting Receives Approval & Accreditation for Port Facility Security Officer Course

ABS Consulting's UK offices have been granted approval and accreditation by the Transport Security Directorate (TRANSEC) of the UK's Department of Transport to provide training for UK port facility security officers in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS). This accreditation is valid for up to three years and allows the training of port facility security officers to TRANSEC's mandatory criteria for any port facility security officer in the UK or overseas territories.
The development of this course represents the first milestone in the expansion of security courses by the recently formed Man-made Hazards and Security Section in the UK. This course was developed with the collaboration of the US offices of ABS Consulting, and forms the foundation for future partnership between the UK and US offices in the evolvement of security risk management related courses.
