The Course

This course qualifies participants as trained Port Facility Security Officers (PFSO). The International Maritime Organization's International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code imposed requirements for maritime security on certain vessels and port/waterfront facilities that interface with such vessels. This course addresses these standards and is also accredited in accordance with the guidelines set down by the Transport Security and Contingencies Directorate (TRANSEC) of the UK Department for Transport and the ISPS Code.

Who Should Attend?

This course is ideal for any personnel who are appointed as a PFSO or are a PFSO. All persons appointed as a PFSO in the UK must attend a TRANSEC approved training course, this course will certify UK PFSOs in accordance with TRANSEC requirements. No prior security experience is necessary.
