The complete security risk management package can provide policy and strategy at the corporate level through to implementation and confirmation of effectiveness at the operational level.

Threat Assessments

A threat assessment provides the basis of security risk management. At the corporate level, geopolitical risk is considered as well as other global and regional destabilising security threats. At the operational level, analysis of the potential adversaries provides credible, not worst case, scenarios. This provides a firm basis for subsequent analysis and production of cost effective and proportionate mitigation measures.

Security Vulnerability Assessments

Security vulnerability assessment generates scenarios from the threat assessment to test the protection offered by the existing security measures.

Consequence Assessments

Consequence assessment quantifies the damages caused by successful attack scenarios. This can be in terms of fatalities, casualties, physical damage useful for probable maximum loss (PML) or estimated maximum loss (EML), blast analysis or business interruption. CBRN scenarios can also be assessed.

Security Risk Assessments

Security risk assessment combines a security vulnerability assessment and a consequence assessment.

Security risk mitigation identifies the most cost effective methods of reducing the unacceptable security risks identified during the security risk assessment. These may include improving the security of the site, reducing the site's susceptibility to damage (through blast engineering) and enhancing the organisation's ability to respond to and recover from an incident (through business continuity management).

Program Implementation

ABS Consulting provides security plan implementation guidance to the existing corporate security force, supporting the interfaces between the senior corporate executives, personnel and response resources. We can incorporate and implement recommendations specified in the assessment phase, all within budgetary guidelines set by senior management.

Training

ABS Consulting offers dynamic, bespoke training courses to provide vital skills for key individuals or provide staff with general training within the security field.

Testing & Audits

ABS Consulting believes that rigorous testing and audits are an integral part of verifying and implementing successful security risk management. In order to test the efficiency of a security program and to demonstrate the organisation's state of readiness for detecting and responding to an actual attack, we can conduct a series of critical simulation exercises and audits to verify the organisation's security risk posture.
