Chad Patschke

Mr. Chad Patschke is a senior risk/reliability engineer with ABS Consulting and has more than 15 years of experience in the maintenance, mechanical integrity, process safety management (PSM), and risk analysis fields. He has participated in various engineering assignments involving operations, maintenance, process safety, and project management while holding the positions of plant manager, operations manager, production superintendent, engineering manager, and materials engineer. He has experience in a variety of industries that have processes involving highly hazardous chemicals, including refining, petrochemical, specialty chemical, and hazardous waste treatment operations. Mr. Patschke previously held inspector certifications for API 510 Pressure Vessels, API 653 Atmospheric Storage Tanks, and API 570 Process Piping, and he has developed and managed mechanical integrity programs for a variety of companies. Prior to joining ABS Consulting, Mr. Patschke was the North America Process Safety Manager for ICI Paints and served in various engineering roles for ExxonMobil and Gulf Nuclear Industries.

Currently, Mr. Patschke assists clients with all aspects of mechanical integrity as well as PSM program development, implementation, and auditing to satisfy OSHA's PSM regulation and EPA's risk management program (RMP) rule. He also leads process hazard analyses on a variety of processes. Mr. Patschke also develops and instructs courses on PSM and RMP compliance that are offered by ABS Consulting Training Services.

Mr. Patschke received his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Texas A&M University in 1992 and his M.S. certificate in project management from George Washington University in 2003.
