Jan Behrendt Ibsoe
Vice President, Renewable Energy
Dr. Jan Behrendt Ibsoe, Vice President, is heading ABS Consulting's global operations for Renewable Energy.
After his graduation as Master of Science in Civil Engineering in 1990, and obtaining a doctorate (Ph.D) in Fatigue and Fracture Mechanics Analyses of Offshore Welded Structures in 1994, both from the Technical University of Denmark, Jan Behrendt Ibsoe has been working in various management positions at COWI Consulting Engineers (1994-1997) in Denmark, at the Det Norske Veritas (DNV) (1997-2005) in Denmark, and at SGS Société Général de Surveillance (SGS) (2005-2010) in Germany. In 1993, Dr. Jan Behrendt Ibsoe worked for one year in Japan.
His working area the last 14 years has been within wind energy and renewable energy, working in the position as General Manager and Global Market Director for DNV Global Wind Energy, Market Director for SGS Industrial Services and Global Director, SGS Renewable Energy. His main focus has so far been within the Offshore- and Onshore Wind Energy and Solar PV sectors, respectively. Prior to this, his working areas were within the offshore oil and gas and the construction sectors.
