ABS Consulting Engineers Author CCPS Book Revealing Importance of Mechanical Integrity Systems

Knoxville, Tennessee - Hundreds of illustrations and real-world examples merge in Guidelines for Mechanical Integrity Systems, a new Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) book authored by ABS Consulting that reveals the importance of mechanical integrity activities in preventing chemical accidents and maintaining plant productivity. Written as part of the CCPS Guidelines series, Guidelines for Mechanical Integrity Systems provides maintenance and process safety professionals with a basic familiarity of mechanical integrity concepts and best practices. The book recommends efficient approaches for establishing a successful mechanical integrity program to make sure that equipment is designed, fabricated, installed and maintained properly.

Randy Montgomery, Manager of Business and System Performance Solutions, was the lead author for the Guidelines. Steve Arendt, Bill Bradshaw, Earl Brown, Myron Casada and Daniel Machiela, all engineers with ABS Consulting, also contributed to the book.
