ABS Consulting Director Myron Casada Serves as Guest on EIIP Virtual Forum

Myron Casada, Director, Risk and Security Services, ABS Consulting, will be the guest on the Emergency Information Infrastructure Partnership (EIIP) Virtual Forum "live chat" presentation and interactive Q&A session November 14, 2007, at 12:00 pm EST. The topic of discussion is the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS), required by Section 550 of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Appropriations Act of 2007. After a public comment period, an interim final rule was published last April; however, "Appendix A: DHS Chemicals of Interest" was not finalized until earlier this month. This session will provide an introduction to CFATS and include a discussion as to the implications of Appendix A. To participate in the forum, please visit www.emforum.org.

Casada has more than 30 years of engineering and risk assessment experience, including consulting for both private industry and government organizations. Currently, Casada is assisting clients in responding to the new DHS Standards, including regulatory applicability consulting, compliance services and security vulnerability assessments.
