Safetec Unveils New Competence Center at Grand Opening Event
25 November 2013
Bergen, Norway - This week, Safetec will open a new Competence Center in Bergen, Norway, which will provide education and training for organizations, based on ABS Group and Safetec’s multi-disciplinary expertise and experience in the onshore and offshore market.
At the grand opening event, Ståle Riisnes, Senior Security Adviser, will guide guests on a tour through the emergency preparedness center and its adjacent facilities. After the tour, newly-appointed Department Manager of the Competence Center, Vibeke Francisca Een, and Knut Oscar Gilje, CEO of Safetec, will discuss the company and training facilities, and provide a demonstration of an emergency management exercise inside the Center.
“The combination of experienced staff and technically-advanced facilities make the Safetec Competence Center one of the best in Europe,” Gilje said. “We will continue to expand the center to include several lecturing rooms, to be used when Safetec is hosting courses and trainings.”
The Center will provide clients with both highly experienced trainers and advanced facilities for teaching and training in risk management, safety and emergency management. Courses at the new facility will use a combination of scenario-based training, role play, skills training, workshops and lectures.
Safetec invites clients and media to participate at the opening, which will be held on Thursday, 28 November 2013 from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Competence Center at Bredalsmarken 17-19, Bergen.
The grand opening tour and demonstration will also be recorded and shared online after the event. For more information or to RSVP to attend, please email Kompetansesenter@safetec.no.
