Europe: December 10, 2013 at 5 am GMT
United States: December 9, 2013 at 11 pm CST
This webinar aims to give an overview of business continuity and its application to those in a Business Continuity Management function within their organization. The presentation will outline the benefits of business continuity to plan and help your business prepare for and operate after an incident, with an overview of some of the events that could impact your business.
To provide attendees with a better understanding of the different components of a Business Continuity Management System (designed to protect and ensure the continued operations of a business), the webinar will give an overview of the new ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Systems standard, which replaced BS25999 in May 2012.
The focus will be on the process of the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and the Risk Assessment. The BIA analyses the activities and effects of a disruption to the business, and the Risk Assessment entails the overall risk identification, analysis and evaluation. These two components are the key elements which are critical to understanding the business and determining the business continuity strategy to be adopted by the organization.
